Romance Car Train Shinjuku Station > Yumoto Station

Romance car train at Shinjuku station.

The Japanese train system runs on time. The journey from Shinjuki to Hakone Yumoto took an hour and 20 minutes.

Inside the Romance car. Comfortable seats and train cabins.

The seats are automatically set in the forward facing direction (isn't that a good idea!) before passengers board. Passengers can then rotate the seats should they want to face their friends.

As we travel to Yumoto, I captured some sights from my window seat on the train.

Leaving Tokyo city and into the countryside.

Mt Fuji awaits.

Odawara castle.

And finally arriving at Hakone-Yumoto station.
